Halloween

Halloween

First off, I love Halloween. It's the greatest possible holiday. It lets kids gets massive amounts of candy and lets them express themselves and use their imagination in coming up with costumes. Oh, and it lets us adults scare them.

So, I put together a Halloween display. Well, display is an understatement. I build animatronics that let me scare them with no extra help. Yet, I usually get help though. Generally the displays follow some theme. I've had the Old West, Torture Chamber, Alien Invasion and Torture Chamber 2, and Prehistory.

In addition to the thematic setups, I have some staples of Halloween hauntings. Things like the obvious strobe lights and fog machines and the less obvious like my fog chiller. The fog chiller is probably my favorite standard. It cools the smoke that comes out of a fog machine so that it does what real fog does and creeps along the ground.

These pages are about my builds. They're not howtos. Most of what I did here I did based on howtos I found by just googling around. If you're intersted in building what I built, you should have enough information to find more specific plans out there and the imagination to adapt it to your specific needs.

This one features one of my favorite builds. My Caged Skeleton Jumper. It's a basic 4 bar jumper that pushes the skeleton up and out of the cage. The particularly fun part of the buld was the return with the closing of the cage again. This one caught a lot of kids off guard.

The photo gallery misses the hanged corpse going through death throes. You can watch a pretty bad video.
